The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has opened the comment period for a nearly two-mile gas line being proposed in Franklin Township.
The above ground Shale Gas Water Pipeline would connect the Old Route 422 Water Vault to the existing Stein and Cratty shale gas well pads.
The project is expected to impact Mulligan Run and several wetlands according to the Pennsylvania Bulletin. A hearing for the pipeline has not been scheduled.
Comments are due by November 23 and can be sent to the DEP Northwest District Oil and Gas Management Program at 230 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or by email at RA-EPOILGASDROPBOX@pa.gov.
