High school scores from Tuesday:
The Butler high school boys track and field team clinched their Triple-A section title following a dominating win Tuesday. The Golden Tornado defeated the Raiders 88-62 to win the title.
The Butler girls won a thriller over Seneca Valley 76-74.
Baseball:
–Butler-2 Central Catholic-0. Nolan Stefaniak allowed just one hit and struck out 11 while pitching into the seventh inning. He also had two hits, as the Golden Tornado improved to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in section play. They have already clinched a playoff spot.
–Seneca Valley-4 North Allegheny-2. The Raiders are now 10-6 overall and matched the Tigers are 5-3 in section play. Both join Butler in clinching playoff berths.
–North Catholic-7 Central Valley-2.
–Indiana-2 Knoch-1. Despite the loss, Zane Pacek allowed just one hit and struck out seven for the Knights, who fell to 9-5 overall and are 4-2 in section play. Knoch has locked up a playoff spot. Indiana is now 10-1 and remain unbeaten in the section.
–Freeport-8 Burrell-3.
–Allderdice-7 Mars-4.
–Brookville-4 Karns City-2.
–Moniteau-10 North Clarion-0 in six innings.
–Clarion-11 AC Valley-0 in six innings.
Softball:
–Slippery Rock-9 Oil City-8 in nine innings.
–Moniteau-10 Forest Area-7
–Karns City-15 Brookville-5 in six innings.
–Hickory-11 Grove City-1 in six innings.
