A Prospect man has been charged after being accused of trespassing at a Slippery Rock School District School.
On Thursday around 2:30 p.m., State Police were called to Moraine Elementary for 40-year-old Trenton Tompkins for “walking around the school acting strange” at the school.
Charging documents say that due to a previous incident, Tompkins was warned not to approach school property or he’d be arrested for trespassing. Tompkins is accused of stepping onto the property but school officials say Tompkins never attempted to enter the school building.
In a statement sent to parent’s officials said “staff and students were not in danger.”
Tompkins was placed in the Butler County Prison and his bail was set at $300,000.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 4.
