A Butler man accused of killing another man almost two years ago in the City of Butler attempted to have his lawyer removed, but reversed his decision during a court hearing.
37-year-old Sean Williams is accused of shooting and killing 47-year-old Christopher Waggett of Butler after an argument on the 200 block of American Avenue November 5, 2024.
Williams had filled a hand-written motion to have his attorney removed after making allegations of not providing adequate representation.
The district attorney in court argued “(Williams) has a right to counsel, not a right to choose counsel.”
The motion was withdrawn and a status conference is scheduled for later this month.
