A local event with something for the whole family kicks off today.
The Portersville Steam Summer Show begins at 8 a.m. and continues through 5 p.m. Sunday at the Steam Show Grounds off Perry Highway.
The gathering will include over 20 acres of antique attractions with activities for the whole family including a blacksmith shop, vintage log home, machine shop, craft barn, tractor pulls, animal barn, and train rides.
No alcoholic beverages or pets are allowed on the show grounds.
