The Pennsylvania State House has passed a bill that would ban cell phones in school.
The bill would prohibit students in public schools from possessing or using a cell phone during the day. Schools would be responsible for establishing how that would best be done.
The bill comes as some local school districts already have implemented “bell-to-bell” phone bans.
The bill now moves to the state Senate.
