The NFL season opened last night with the Seattle Seahawks defeating the New England Patriots 13-10. The Seahawks scored the game’s final 13 points in the second half, after the Patriots had built a 10-0 lead into the third quarter. Seattle picked off New England quarterback Drake Maye three times in the game, but the Seahawks also lost their starting quarterback Sam Darnold to a hip injury during the game. Drew Lock replaced him and threw for 187 yards and a score.
New England also lost star wide receiver A.J. Brown to an ankle injury in the third quarter.
Another NFL game will be played tonight in Melbourne, Australia, when the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers meet in an International game. Kick-off is 8:35pm. The game will be televised on Netflix.
There is also a Thursday night college football game tonight when the #7-ranked Miami Hurricanes host Florida A&M. Miami is a 57-1/2 point favorite.
