A new booster station aimed at improving water service in Summit Township will be constructed soon.
Pennsylvania American Water will be handling the $1.1 million project, which will be built along Portman Road.
The new booster pump station will go above-ground and officials say it will improve water pressure and enhance reliability.
This station coincides with new fire hydrants and nearly one-mile of a new water main.
Summit Township has contributed $85,000 toward this project.
The station is expected to be put into service later this year.
