A local municipality has been awarded state grant funding to help with park improvement.
The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources recently announced that the 2026 Community Conservation Partnerships Program grants include a project in Connoquenessing Borough.
The Borough will receive nearly $92,000 for further development of Connoquenessing Park to include construction of internal loop trail; ADA access, landscaping, project sign and other related site improvements.
A total of $81 million will be distributed to over 300 projects across 60 counties to plan, acquire, and develop public parks, recreation areas, trails, river access, and conservation of open space.
