Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced in accordance with a proposed state bill, a new online dashboard for Home Improvement Contractor Registration.
Last August, a cyber disruption in the Attorney General’s office disabled online registration. The system is now back up and includes step-by-step guidance on the registration homepage to assist users.
But when the system went down in August last year some contractors were able to take advantage of customers while the website was down. Senate Bill 1324 makes some changes to language on the site to help prevent any confusion if the website ever goes down again in the future.
For contractors, if you submitted a paper registration you are not required to do so again online, but for those who did not submit one you have a grace period to submit an online registration until June, 2026.
